In 2015 the City of Lincoln launched two ambitious art projects to commemorate its part in the 800-year history of Magna Carta, 1215 Today and Lincoln Voices. Both placed artists at the heart of the process.
A series of residencies, Lincoln Voices has enabled artists to research and create new work based around issues in contemporary society that resonate with Magna Carta. 1215 Today commissioned artists to work with young people and respond to their experience of society and politics.
In this series of video interviews, eight artists, designers, filmmakers, theatre companies and creative technologists talk about their work for 1215 Today and Lincoln Voices.
