Final designs Timelines: Histolyrical Timeline

As the project was approaching it’s final resolution there was still time for the idea to shift slightly! Instead of just having the Facebook text flow in its entirety, what if we chopped it up and made the experience interactive so the user could create their own pieces of concrete poetry from the Facebook text? Inspired by William Burrough’s cut-up technique we started developing a website which could construct crude and randomised sentences from the Facebook text data we had collected. After a small forest of post it notes, one gigantic excel sheet, a friendly German programmer called Marcel and us basically becoming human computers for a couple of weeks; we finally had a working model for the project!
