Focus group with young people Timelines: Histolyrical Timeline

A really useful session with the 1215.today collective of young people who had taken part in our Innovation Lab helped us focus in on Facebook as our main area of attention. The young people revealed how Facebook was their main go to platform to engage with current affairs and that they all shared a degree of social anxiety around the site. We became interested in capturing a moment of history through people’s Facebook activity. Unsurprisingly we decided to focus on the EU Referendum, we were keen to find a way to show what people across the country were thinking and sharing at the time, creating a more meditative reflection on the events. Fish and the movement of water still played a significant factor in our visual experiments but instead of trying to create an interactive experience we focused on creating an infographic visualisation.
